As the PRN Home Health Aide, you will work part-time, on-call, assisting with patient care, administering medication and treatments, monitoring patient condition and collaborating with clinical team. This position will require you to submit a month of availability at a time. Our schedulers and office staff will direct you to fill staffing needs on a flexible and as-needed basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bathes patient, assists with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
- Helps patient maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activity of daily living.
- Takes and records vital signs as assigned, including blood pressure, temperature, respiration, etc.
- Assists patient in getting ready for doctor appointments.
- Carries out assigned tasks on patients and follows Home Health Aide Care Plans.
- Performs delegated tasks after instruction by RN or PT.
- Lifts, turns, and weighs patients as appropriate.
- Assists patients with proper exercises and assist PT in the rehabilitation for patient when applicable.
- Answers patient questions about self-care techniques and gives instructions that will assist family, patient, and family/support in providing care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aid Agency in the state of employment
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a home health or hospice setting
- Minimum 1 years of direct patient care.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), strongly preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ Home Health Aide (HHA), required
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines, such as HIPAA
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must pass a criminal background check
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
- 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
